Quality Education

DFSWO’s main project is early childhood development education in remote villages. It has introduced an up to date international curriculum for its ECD schools. DFSWO believes in mandatory basic digital literacy for both teachers and children. It provides laptops and ECD resources to it schools situated in remote villages. DFSWO has the facility of modern ECD classrooms. It also provides trained ECD faculty with a robust educational management and auditing system. It has provided space for parents to take part in the education of their children through regular PTMs (Parent-Teacher Meetings), annual Parents’ Day, and through school guardianship.

Good Health & Well Being

There is a huge issue of malnutrition, stunted growth, and child neglect in remote villages. DFSWO conducts parental awareness sessions about children’s physical and mental health. It provides awareness about prevention of childhood infectious diseases due to unhygienic surroundings and poverty. Common diseases are intestinal worm infestations, Scabies, Impetigo and ear infections. There is a serious issue of ingestion of non-food substances, particularly clay, coal. Teachers and parents are encouraged to monitor children not to consume nonfood substances. DFSWO provides SEN (Special Educational Needs) training to its faculty to promote inclusiveness of disable children.

Gender Equality

DFSWO informs village communities about the impact of gender discrimination and stresses on the importance of gender equality. DFSWO provides basic education to mothers during winter vacations to tackle illiteracy. It holds community awareness sessions regarding opportunities for girls. It trains female village teachers to lead their communities and have better communication skills. DFSWO conducts confidence building workshops and teaching skill sessions through intensive training. DFSWO exclusively works with male guardians, so that female teachers can acquire their basic ID cards and independent bank accounts. DFSWO conducts Mothers’ Day celebrations in ECD schools.

Reduced Inequalities

DFSWO provides awareness to the village communities about their rights and responsibilities as citizens of a country. It provides quality outreach education to the poorest villages to eradicate poverty and empower the village communities. It empowers women to claim their basic rights in the society. DFSWO provides access to education on priority basis, to the children of financially very unstable families. It shares some financial burden of destitute families by providing money, clothing, medicine, and other household stuff.

No Poverty

Building Futures, Breaking Poverty: DFSWO has myriad of activities apart from Early Childhood Development education, it provides opportunities for the capable people in community to contribute their part in building lives as well as allowing them to earn a living. It creates a sense of long-term investment through quality education of young generation. It also creates a sense of resourcefulness by using local, organic and natural products for teaching e.g. stones, leaves, woods etc. It distributes large quantities of children’s clothing, household stuff and educational material, donated by International philanthropists.
